About RAYS
When I think of why I created Rays, I think of the days that I would question every thing. The days that I would want to walk away but knew that I wasn’t done fighting. I would be giving myself that pep talk on my way home from work and then I would see the beautiful sunset and remember that I was created to be of service. But how could I balance quality of life with the desire to serve?
I was clearly in a burnout cycle and it affected my productivity at work but even more so, it affected who I was and made me a woman I didn’t want to be. I wasn’t able to serve anywhere in my life anymore – at work, at home, or volunteer, because I had nothing left to give. I found a way to make space in my life and work in a more efficient way so that I could serve more wholly. That’s why I built Rays – to help other people fundraise and lead in a more sustainable way so that there’s something left of them when they leave work. So they can serve another day and not walk away from a job they once loved because there’s nothing left in them. I want to help people serve more freely and build the programs they want to build because they have the money to do so. I want to help the great leaders stay in this industry so that we can continue to make the impact on our community that changes the trajectory of people’s futures.

Raise money.
Raise yourself.
I chose the name Rays because of the power of a beautiful sunrise and that when you raise yourself up, everything is brighter and more beautiful. Together, we will raise you up to what I know you can do and who I know you can be.
Rays utilizes the Gallup CliftonStrengths to identify your unique strengths and what you bring to your organization. We will dive into who you are and why you serve. We will uncover your belief systems around money and nonprofits. When we are clear on the beliefs and values we bring to conversations with donors we can be more present with them. Our role is to build a relationship with them and help them on their journey of creating their legacy by investing in a mission they care about. Don’t be the reason why they don’t invest in yours! You will learn how to build more depth in your relationships and raise more money than you ever have before, resulting in less hustle and more space in your day to build the programs and initiatives that make the difference in our communities.
